1 More Day!

I cannot wait! On Friday, some girlfriends and I are going to see it. We already purchased our tickets because I didn't want to be the person who walks from the ticket counter in uncontrollable tears because the seats are all sold out. I am even thinking of getting all dolled up with some 5 inch stilettos to make it legit.

Are you as excited as I am?!

Dinner: Bowtie Pasta w/Meat Sauce and Garlic Bread

I am that person who doesn't look at recipes. I always say I am going to and then I just don't. I am that person who looks at a meal and I know how to make it. Well, maybe I don't but I think I can make it.

If you want to try it go at it. But let me warn you .. I don't measure, I just do the taste test. I am not an expert by any means so I might not really be doing this "correctly". But, it was so delicious and don't tell hubby I told you but he licked his plate clean. I mean this literally.

1.) Chop onions (Use as much as you like. Some people hate onions and some people love onions. I use a lot of onions).

2.) Spray cooking spray on your skillet & heat on medium - low (You can use cooking oil as well).

3.) Place onions in skillet when it has warmed up.

4.) Cut up green peppers, red peppers and tomatoes . Throw them all in skillet.

5.) You might have to throw a few shots of water to keep the onions from browning too quickly. I use a half full shot glass. I truly mean a shot glass.

6.) Let that cook for about 5-7 minutes.

7.) Take out your ground beef and place in skillet (You can use ground turkey or chicken) Put heat on medium.

8.) Season entire contents with Light Adobo Seasoning, Black Peppercorn, Basil and Italian Seasoning (To be honest, you can use your favorite seasoning)

9.) Watch meat brown and move meat around to ensure that all of it browns (You might have to sprinkle in another half shot glass of water. Just watch to be sure that you do or do not have to)

10.) Add mushrooms if you are a fan

11.) Take out Prego Sauce (any brand of sauce will do) and pour in skillet

12.) Make sure pasta is almost done by now and that oven has been pre-heated to put the garlic bread in. We LOVE Pepperidge Farms Five Cheese Garlic Bread. You can either make your own (which is very easy) or go the easier route.

13.) Drain pasta

14.) Have strong & sober hubby, bf or FI pour the meat sauce once it is completely cooked (I am sure there is an easier way but we have been doing this for so long that we don't really do it any other way) into the pasta

15.) Take out garlic bread from oven

16.) Mix the sauce & pasta and voila!

It is extremely easy to make and made us 4 meals! We have delicious lunches for tomorrow!

Home decor (PT 1)

We are finally having some of our furniture being delivered on Saturday (since we move in a few weeks), so the house won't be empty anymore! We purchased a few things over the weekend to be a little bit ready for the furniture that will arrive on Saturday. We picked up rugs for the kitchen, dining room, living room and guest room. We also purchased two lamps at Marshalls. We bought blinds and curtains for the hubs to put in the dining room but I am not sure if I am feeling them. Because of the heater/air conditioner, Sean does not want to have longer curtains. I don't know how I feel about it.

I figure curtains can change at anytime and we are on a budget so I think we will keep it for now. If only I could figure out how to hide the heater/air conditioner. I truly hate it! I didn't take pictures of the rug we purchased for the guest room as we haven't painted it yet.

Curtains that we will have for now. Goodness, I hate that heater! So Kathy, any suggestions for me?! I know you're reading! Love you girly! :)

Good things about Spring ...

Minus my horrible allergies, I really love Spring. I love the weather and I love how it makes flowers bloom. Take my front lawn for instance. Do you remember when I posted how the hubs and I worked on our front lawn. If you don't remember look here! They are growing! I can't wait to see when the flowers are in full bloom! To be honest, I think some of them actually need a trim but I have no clue how to do that. Aaaah, the fun things I get to do in a few weeks!

Look @ how pretty they are becoming!

Aaah, looks like the hubs planted that one to the right a lil bit crooked :)

How can I keep the pink bush from attacking the green bush?

See! They look like they need a trim badly!

LOST!!!!

The hubs and I are proud crazies of Lost! I mean, we are so proud that we wanted to have a Lost party for the finale & S was going to dress like Sayid. It was going to be great until we realized that the next day we would have to go to work. With sad faces, that plan was quickly thrown out the window.

We are getting geared up! We have food, yummy drinks and Kleenex (for the hubs, of course, hahahaha ;)). There is not even enough words to say that we cannot wait!

I am so ready for all my questions to be answered (i so hope they are) but so sad that the most well written show on television (minus Sex and The City) will be over after today. Hmm, maybe they will move to the big screen like SATC. Don't judge me, I can hope.

I hope some of my followers are also crazy fanatics! Here's to getting our questions answered while we sit at the edge of our couches!

Crazy Warm. Yummy Food. Fruity Drinks.

This is what I hope all your weekends entail! At least, this is what makes my weekends perfect! :)

Have a perfect weekend!

Wedding Wednesday

Yeah, so I slacked a bit. I was suppose to do this every Wednesday. Now I will just do it on the Wednesdays that it comes to mind. Deal? Deal.

While planning, I noticed that many brides advised other brides to keep their bridal party numbers down. This they said will equal less drama. Luckily for us, this was not the case. We decided to ask the (many) friends + family who have been there for us and know will continue to be there for us. When I say that our BP gave us zero drama, I mean it! It was smooooooth! But I knew it would be because the people we chose have always been supportive of us so why not, when we were planning one of the biggest days of our lives? My advice is to pick the people who mean the most to you. Not the person you promised in 3rd grade but the person you know will be in your life 20+ years from now. OK, enough of that ... let's get to the good stuff!

Weekend Recap!

My weekend was pretty awesome! Not because we did anything extremely special but because we could just chill out. I didn't have to wake up early to go to the hubs rugby game so we finally slept in on a Saturday!

Friday was my SILs wedding! (If you would like to see pictures click here) It was a great wedding!

On Saturday, hubs and I woke up and he made breakfast. We then went to the house and began painting the office! Sean picked the colors for the office and I have to admit that it makes the room so bright and happy! I love it!

Here are some pics after the first coat of paint:

Sean wondering why I am taking pictures of our un-finshed work, lol.

After the second (and final) coat!

Here are some pics of the living room that we finished some weeks ago before we were professional painters, lol!

Just one more room to go and we might do an accent wall in our master! :)

After we did some painting on Saturday we went to Lake George and went to a few shops. We didn't find anything very good but we did have an amazing dinner!

Because we all know now that I am ridiculous during car rides!

Then Sunday consisted of church, babysitting my beautiful nephew Zach & dinner with our new neighbors at a Hibachi restaurant! This was such a great experience and it was the first time for Sean and I. We will def. be doing this from now on!

The cutest lil boy in the world! He thinks I am so funny! (or maybe I think, he thinks, I'm so funny ... whichever)

Sean getting a shot of Sake, haha! (he really needs a haircut)

Such a FUN weekend! Hope you all had great weekends too!!!

xoxo
